Absolute Cycling meets Rush Hour
A thrilling knockout race
Five cyclists will have an Absolute Cycling One prototype mounted on their handlebars during the Rush Hour Pro Race in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Rush Hour is an innovative new cycling race right through the heart of the city. At the end of each lap the racer that’s in the last position will get knocked out of the race. At certain points during the race cyclists can score extra points during a sprinting segment. Some of the best cyclists from the Netherlands are competing, making this an extremely exciting race.

Live data tracking on national television
The event has finished but you can see the video below (all in Dutch):
We’ve worked incredibly hard to improve on the prototype since the Cape Epic event. We can now test account creation, live-streaming data to our server and the user experience design created by Eight Media. We’re also going to shoot some awesome GoPro footage of the riders so we can share our working prototype with the world. The event has now finished but we’ll share the results with you ASAP!
Features we're testing:
- Speed measurement (internal sensors)
- Heartrate measurement using Bluetooth
- Power measurement using Bluetooth
- Streaming the data to our server at 4Hz
- Live streaming that data without latency
- Our hardware/software accuracy at 4Hz
What the One is capable of
Our developers at Inspiro are working extremely hard to be able to stream this data on the page you’re viewing right now. Make sure to follow us facebook and instagram to know when the race will start. We’ll update this page with live footage, news coverage of the race and of course the realtime results of our measurements.
