“We are very happy with this financing. This will allow us to start production and set up the market launch,” said Harm Giesen, CEO and founder of Absolute Cycling. The investment confirms the vision to launch a premium bicycle computer that navigates 100% reliably, even when you temporarily have no GPS signal. The product is designed by the long term design partner of Bang & Olufsen.
The financing comes from business angels who believe in the potential of Absolute Cycling. The bicycle market has experienced peak growth during Corona years. According to figures from NTFU, GfK and Ipsos, there are now 918,000 active sporting cyclists (cyclists, mountain bikers, gravel bikers) in The Netherlands. Absolute Cycling focuses on the top segment and will also sell worldwide, with approximately 5 million premium buyers in the market. The market launch will be in the spring of 2024.
